Turbulence Training - How Do You Do It?

Turbulence Training is a work out program developed by Craig Ballantyne, CSCS, M.Sc. He is a fitness expert and consultant to Men's Fitness Magazine, as well as Maximum Fitness. It is focused on getting your body in better shape, as well as burning fat. It is made up of a 6 week introductory program, followed by a 4 week intermediate program. These programs work into a 16 week advanced training portion. It is designed so that someone following the program can work into each phase gradually but effectively.

Said to be scientifically proven to burn fat, the workout routines are meant to help lose unwanted fat, and maintain an attractive physical appearance. These routines will require you to have a set of dumbbells, exercise bench, as well as an exercise ball. You will probably also want the use of a spare room, or an area set up in a larger room in your home, to serve as your workout space.

The work out techniques in this book covers non competing supersets, abdominal work outs, and interval training. This is done 3 times a week. Turbulence Training focuses on fat burning intervals using a cardio work out. The work outs are more high intensity and low volume. This is similar to doing heavy sets with low repetitions to build muscles faster. It is a program designed with the serious body builder in mind, rather than someone who is just trying to drop a few excess pounds.

Turbulence Training does not spend much time focusing on nutritional benefits. The basics are covered in a sort of review fashion with information that is commonly known.  While good nutrition and healthy eating habits are also very important with regard to physical work outs, this program focuses mostly on the exercises to accomplish getting a new body.

Turbulence Training is developed for both men and women, with separate training information and program for each. The techniques taught in this book claim to help you get fit if you follow them strictly. The exercises and routines are geared towards experienced individuals who already know a bit about what this program entails. If you are a beginner regarding physical fitness programs, you will want to take it rather slow at first. As with any new exercise program, be sure you are healthy enough to follow the program. A quick visit to your doctor will tell you if you are ready to begin or not.
